I’ve run every possible life scenario through a computer, and for some reason they all end with me working as a permanent unpaid intern at Church and State magazine
U.S. Rep. Randy Forbes’ bill to reaffirm “In God We Trust” as the national motto and encourage its display in all public schools was approved by a House committee Thursday after a sharp partisan debate.
I imagine most Christians don’t think of God as so vain or insecure that he needs 9,000 plaques screwed to public school and post offices, so this is pretty transparently about imposing belief on other people, right? If not imposing belief, then at least projecting majority power in a hostile way.
Of course if the bill’s supporters are really just pushing this to sate the bloodlust of a vengeful deity then please, Bill’s Supporters, accept my apologies.
